Sasha Allen can be described as the sole transgender person who has been through all the Battle Rounds of The Voice Live Shows. That has been the case for the past 21 seasons. Newtown's duo, Jim and Sasha Allen are now in the top 8 within the 21-year history of the Live Shows The Voice! Sasha revealed that he is transgender, when he presented their audition package during the Blind Auditions. According to Parade.com they said this wasn't an easy decision. Sasha was transgender in high school and stated that it was difficult to reveal such a vulnerable side of himself in front of so many people. "But [last week during Fan Week], watching how people's responses to the event and how it's affected individuals really proved that this was a worthwhile decision and it was the right move, even though it was difficult to take." "'Have you ever Seen the Rain' is one of the songs that was in the list of songs that we've always wanted to feature on The Voice for quite a many years," Sasha told Parade.com. "We performed it long before The Voice was even a reality show for us. We were so excited when we got it. We had heard of the song and had some thoughts on how to set it up. "I found myself pleasantly shocked by the way that fans executed the song."
