Anne Burrell

Anne W. Burrell is an American TV personality who is a chef, and a former instructor at the Institute of Culinary Education. Burrell hosts Secrets of a Restaurant Chef on the Food Network and the co-host of Worst Cooks in America. Anne Burrell's Food Network show Secrets of a Restaurant chef is a hit with her signature hairstyle and her pumped up personality, explains easy techniques anybody can learn. Chef Burrell has worked in several of the most prestigious eateries located in New York, studied the culinary landscape and traditions of Italy and competed in Food Network's Iron Chef America. Burrell is a native of the Upstate and grew up living in New York State's Upstate, developed an early passion for cooking. The Culinary Institute of America has sparked her interest in managing restaurants when she received an English/Communications diploma at Canisius College Buffalo NY. The Culinary Institute of America was where I had the most enjoyable time of my life. I could not study or accomplish enough. After graduation, Burrell worked at La Bottega del 30 in Tuscany as well as La Taverna del Lupo (in Umbria) during her time at the Italian Culinary Institute for Foreigners. In Italy she acquired an appreciation for and understanding of Italian food. It made a huge impact on how she views food. Burrell is an ambassador for the celebrity chef for the Juvenile Diabetic Research Foundation and was a part of the Garden of Dreams Foundation Advisory Board, which helps children with obstacles. Burrell is often a guest presenter at conferences, and she travels across the nation to mentor others in her role. Anne in all her cooking journey, has said that it's an honor to be in a position to share her passion for life with others.
