Avery Sunshine

Avery Sunshine has a unique style which combines R&B with soul, gospel music, and R&B. From Broadway to European clubs and festivals, Sunshine has performed all over the world. Sunshine is Denise White. She is originally from Chester Pennsylvania, where she started her musical career by singing and playing the piano at church. She attended Spellman College in Atlanta where she began her training in the Atlanta's R&B scene. In 2005, she was employed to be the main keyboardist for Tyler Perry's stage production Meet the Browns. In 2007 Grammy and Tony Award-winning singer Jennifer Holliday sought her out to become the choral director in the production staged by Dreamgirls during the National Black Arts Festival in Atlanta. Sunshine received national attention through her performances on four consecutive days at the Democratic National Convention. She was invited to perform during President Obama's 2008 inauguration.
